Thanks Peshtigo Mayor Katie Berman for the reminder! 🗑️ GARBAGE & RECYCLING CART REMINDER ♻️ The City receives multiple calls each week about carts not being collected, so here’s a quick reminder on proper placement. With contracted services, drivers typically do not leave their vehicles to reposition carts. If a cart is turned the wrong way, too close to another object, or not safely accessible, it may be missed. Our DPW crew often goes above and beyond to help by repositioning carts when possible, but this takes extra time and can create safety concerns. As improper placement increases, this may not always be possible. Please help by placing carts correctly: • Leave 4 feet between carts and other objects • Handles toward your home, lids toward the street • Keep carts out of the roadway Improperly placed carts may receive a courtesy warning and may not be collected after repeated issues. As winter approaches, please remember to keep carts out of the street so plows can operate safely and efficiently. Thank you for helping us keep collection safe and on schedule!
