Local businesses and residents in the Peshtigo Area are invited to compete in a decorating competition sponsored by the Peshtigo Chamber of Commerce. Participants assigned a light post on French St. to decorate downtown with a scarecrow design of their choice. All supplies & materials are provided by the decorator. Decorations must NOT damage the light post, obstruct the sidewalk/road. No painting, altering or permanently affixing anything to the light post. Scarecrow light post locations emailed to participants by September 30. Scarecrows can be set up Oct. 1-5 and must be taken down by November 21, pending weather. Facebook Voting for Best Scarecrow runs Oct. 6 to Oct 31. The public vote on a winner by liking photos of the displays on the Peshtigo Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page.
